Gates
Our driveway gates are hot dipped galvanized steel with a durable baked on powder coat and look like true wrought iron gates. You won’t find a better combination of strength, corrosion resistance, and beauty anywhere else. We also make matching railings for complete security.
Automatic or Manual?
An automatic gate is the most convenient system and as it’s completely automatic you’re more likely to use it and keep your property secured. An automatic gate used an opener which is the motorized arm that opens and closes the gate.
There are many types of automatic gate systems to choose from. We have chosen which systems to sell based on field testing for reliability and ease of use. There are swinging openers and sliding gate openers.
Swinging or Sliding?
There are swinging openers and sliding gate openers. Swing gate openers come in two basic style types: Linear and Articulated.
A Linear Actuator style automatic gate opener is the most popular type. They are generally a post mounted installation and include a battery backup and a large powerful actuator arm which is rated to withstand light commercial duty. Articulated Arm style automatic gate opener is typically pad mounted and more suited to heavier than normal gates and high use situations such as commercial properties.
The problem with swinging gates is often a lack of room for them to swing open or closed. In this situation we recommend sliding gates which, as the name suggests, slide to the left and/or right behind your wall or hedge. The gates are fitted with wheels which helps support their weight and makes it easier for the system to move them.
Safety
The onboard solid state circuit board receives a signal from the access control device (for example a keypad or a remote) and tells the automatic gate opener to open or close the gate, reverse it if an obstacle is in its path or stay open if you’re expecting visitors.
